PRÉSIDENT® DON BERNARDO® MANCHEGO CHEESE TASTE OF SPAIN SANDWICH

INGREDIENTS

1 Pepper, large, red
1 Pepper, large, yellow
1 Pepper, large, orange
1 ½ cup Extra virgin olive oil
1 Garlic clove, minced
1 tsp. Chili flakes
1 tsp. Kosher salt
1 tsp. Freshly ground black pepper
1 tbsp. Basil, fresh, chopped
1 tbsp. Oregano, fresh, chopped
1 tbsp. Parsley, fresh, chopped
1 cup Président Don Bernardo Manchego cheese, sliced thin
4 slices Sourdough bread

METHOD

  1. Cut all three peppers in half, remove seeds, and toss with ½ cup extra virgin olive oil. Bake on foil-lined baking pan for 15 minutes at 425 degrees F. Remove pepper halves from oven and let cool.
  2. Once cool, cut pepper halves into ¼ inch strips.
  3. Mix the pepper strips with all the remaining ingredients except the bread, and let marinate for 24 hours.
  4. Grill bread slices and serve topped with the marinated Président Don Bernardo Manchego cheese and pepper mixture.
