PRÉSIDENT® DON BERNARDO® MANCHEGO CHEESE TASTE OF SPAIN SANDWICH

INGREDIENTS
Amount | Ingredient |

1 | Pepper, large, red |
1 | Pepper, large, yellow |
1 | Pepper, large, orange |
1 ½ cup | Extra virgin olive oil |
1 | Garlic clove, minced |
1 tsp. | Chili flakes |
1 tsp. | Kosher salt |
1 tsp. | Freshly ground black pepper |
1 tbsp. | Basil, fresh, chopped |
1 tbsp. | Oregano, fresh, chopped |
1 tbsp. | Parsley, fresh, chopped |
1 cup | Président Don Bernardo Manchego cheese, sliced thin |
4 slices | Sourdough bread |
METHOD
- Cut all three peppers in half, remove seeds, and toss with ½ cup extra virgin olive oil. Bake on foil-lined baking pan for 15 minutes at 425 degrees F. Remove pepper halves from oven and let cool.
- Once cool, cut pepper halves into ¼ inch strips.
- Mix the pepper strips with all the remaining ingredients except the bread, and let marinate for 24 hours.
- Grill bread slices and serve topped with the marinated Président Don Bernardo Manchego cheese and pepper mixture.
